The Poet

• Born in Clarendon, Jamaica in 1956.
• Moved to England in 1979 and currently lives in Kent.
• A poet and a novelist who writes poems and stories for children, conducts writing courses and visits schools to share her experiences and talent in writing because she enjoys teaching children.
• She also edits a number of collections and her poems have been published in more than 200 anthologies.
• Appointed as Member of The order of British Empire (MBE) in 2008.
